June 25-26th delegation of Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Poland conducted study visit to Trondheim, Norway to exchange knowledge and experience in developing and implementing a strategy for the administration of the courts.
The seminar was organized within the framework of the collaboration between the Ministry of Justice of Poland and the Norwegian National Courts Administration (NCA) and was supported by the EEA/Norway grants bilateral fund at national level.
Seminar programme consisted of two main parts: developing and implementing the strategy. Within both parts, participants presented current state of affairs in the indicated topics. Each presentation was followed by the questions&answers sessions.
When concluding on the first day of the seminar, participants indicated that both Polish (The Polish Strategy for Modernizing the Justice Area 2014-2020) and Norwegian (The NCA strategic plan for the courts 2014-2020) strategies timeframes, being set at 2014-2020, allowed to draw interesting conclusions and will contribute to further strategy managing steps.
Second day of the seminar was dedicated to implementation – NCA hosted the workshop concerning methods of implementing the strategy. Polish MoJ presented the project and portfolio management system. Day was concluded by the Case study concerning methods of updating a strategy as well as deciding on quantity and quality measures.
Seminar was summarized as inspiring for both sides of the meetings – it allowed to learn more about mutual approach to the strategic system, measures used to assess the strategy implementation and the strategy implementation scheme with the special focus on project management.
What is also important, the added value of the networking initiatives was emphasized – sharing knowledge and best practices allows to benefit from foreign partners practical experience.
