Consultation meeting on the “Diagnosis of the mediation application status and the reasons behind insufficient popularity of mediation comparing to the expectations” study

On 9 March of the current year, the main building of the Ministry of Justice (Al. Ujazdowskie 11 in Warsaw) hosted the meeting attended by the representative of the Norwegian Project Partner – Mr. Wiggo Storhaug Larssen (Judge of the Court of Appeal), representatives of  (Agrotec Polska Sp. z o.o., Contractor of the “Diagnosis of the mediation application status and the reasons behind insufficient popularity of mediation comparing to the expectations” study  – Mrs. Agnieszka Rudolf (Study Team Manager) and Mrs. Marta Cichowicz (Study Team Member) and the representatives of the Ministry of Justice, Project Beneficiary (Division for Crime Victims and Division for Mediation Promotion of the International Cooperation and Human Rights Department) – Mrs. Marzena Kruk (Project Team Manager), Mrs. Magdalena Bochińska (Project Team Member) and Mrs. Agata Oklej (Project Team Member).

In the course of the meeting, the participants discussed the obtained partial results of the study (in the scope of 1. Identification of training needs for mediation among the judges, prosecutors and mediators; 2. Identification of applicable forms and selection of target group of the social information campaign on mediation).

In addition, the representatives of the Project Partner, study Contractor and Project Beneficiary consulted the assumptions on the 3. part of the study to be delivered – diagnosing the mediation application status and the reasons behind insufficient popularity of mediation among the practitioners of justice and among the society (along with recommendations for activities, which will result in the increased number of cases referred to mediation).
