Summary of the 15th Crime Victim Support Week

Krakow, Suwalki and Lublin were the cities, in which the greatest number of crime victims reported for advice under the Crime Victim Support Week. The most inquiries were submitted to the lawyers. Many crime victims reported also for psychological aid. This-year Crime Victim Support Week was held in 23 – 38 February and was carried out for the 15th time.

On Tuesday, 17 February of the current year, the seat of the Ministry of Justice hosted the press breakfast attended by Mr. Wojciech Węgrzyn, Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Justice and the invited journalists. The Red Cross volunteers providing psychological support, explaining the procedural details and assisting in the course of hearings. That’s the way the support system for witnesses and crime victims in the Kingdom of Norway operates. Organizational meeting with the entities executing the “Center Support” task

On 18 December 2014, the organizational meetings with the entities selected under the open competition for Center Support task execution were held. The task consists in providing free-of-charge psychological and legal aid to the crime victims in, among others, selected city social aid centers, police stations, organizational units of the prosecutor’s offices, cooperating with the entities appointed under the competition.
